Thank you for your interesting comments! Since you asked, here’s what I think:

Whether someone dies or not, a child needs a mother in the home, and the social conditioning in this country that says a mother’s role can easily be replaced by a day care provider—a perfect stranger—defies logic.

If you ever decide to get married, assuming you aren’t already, it’s for “better or for worse.” You could end up taking care of someone, and if you truly love them, you’ll do it, because to not take care of them wouldn’t be an option for you.

No, I don’t think that’s all that matters in life. I think if it is that life would be a pretty empty pursuit. But that’s a whole other conversation!
