Great article, Emma. I agree we’ve bought into a big lie, and many of us are missing out on the things that really matter and fulfill us as human beings like family, as you said. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that there seems to be this common narrative that, if you’re a woman, you have to go to college and be a professional and family comes some time down the road. But often times, down the road is too late. When I was young, we didn’t think about a profession, we thought about marriage. I’ve noticed, because I work in the homeschooling community, that homeschooled girls seem to preserve that natural inclination towards marriage and family. Anyhow, we’re a country of miserable people, according to mental health statistics, and I think a lot of what you mentioned speaks to the problem. Do you mind if I quote you in an article I’m planning to write?
